NEW VERSION OF THE WEBAGAIN SELF-HEALING TECHNOLOGY RELEASED
FOR TIVOLI SECUREWAY RISK MANAGER

Phoenix, Arizona USA, November 13, 2000 - - Lockstep Systems, Inc. today announced the availability of a new version of WebAgain.  The premier web site content protection and archival utility is now especially designed to work with Tivoli SecureWay Risk Manager.

WebAgain for Tivoli SecureWay Risk Manager protects the content of an organization’s web site by systematically comparing the publicly posted files to the most recent copy stored in the WebAgain Archive. This special version delivers web site health and status messages to the Tivoli SecureWay Risk Manager for centralized management. When WebAgain repairs a hacked web site, notifications are sent to Tivoli and copies of the hacks are quarantined for offline inspection and evidence gathering. By viewing and receiving these messages, Tivoli Administrators can keep on top of their web site’s health and are assured that the content visible to their visitors is correct.

“With WebAgain for Tivoli SecureWay Risk Manager, customers can feel confident knowing that their web site data is being monitored and protected,” said Karl Forster, President, Lockstep Systems, Inc. “The increasing number of web site attacks demonstrates that firewalls and intrusion detection software are only part of the security equation. Security measures do not stop at the network perimeter and should include contingency plans to repair the damage done by a hacker.”

“Extending WebAgain to Tivoli SecureWay Risk Manager further enables e-businesses to control the crucial components of their infrastructure, and that makes customers feel secure in transacting business over the Internet,” said Carl Kessler, Vice President and GM, Tivoli SecureWay. “The importance of securing the assets of an e-business cannot be overstated, and WebAgain provides important capabilities to that end.”

Highlights of WebAgain for Tivoli SecureWay Risk Manager include zombie server protection, FrontPage Server Extensions support, automatic web site import, and the ability to:

  • Quickly detect defacements and unauthorized web site changes.
  • Automatically restore defaced web pages and return the web site to original form.
  • Receive web pages from any web authoring software program.
  • Monitor, detect and correct web sites hosted on any platform (Windows NT, UNIX, etc.)
  • Simultaneously publish to multiple sites and guarantee delivery.
  • Archive web site content, store multiple revisions and publish a web site back to “any-point-in-time”
  • Send messages when changes are detected and corrected.
  • Quarantine defaced and changed web pages for off-line inspection.
  • Protect multiple web sites and their mirrors using a single WebAgain Server.

WebAgain for Tivoli SecureWay Risk Manager runs as a Windows NT/2000 service, protects web sites that are hosted in-house or by a third-party, and accesses the web site through the Internet, a network or dial-up connection. The WebAgain Server software contains a fault tolerant feature allowing the software to resume operation in the event of power loss or machine reboot. WebAgain’s built-in FTP and FrontPage Servers contain an extra level of authentication to prevent hackers from altering the WebAgain Server.
